The report states that salaries received in the Community ninth in the national ranking. Madrid is ahead with an average salary of 2,077 euros; Basque Country with 2.051; Navarre by 1883; Catalonia with 1866; Asturias with 1754; Aragon with 1.653; Cantabria with 1,630; and Galicia by 1620.
Below are the Balearic Islands, in that order, La Rioja, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia, Murcia, Extremadura and the Canary Islands, which close the list with an average salary of 1,416 euros. The average monthly salary in the whole of Spain is 1,751 Euros..
In the Community of Valencia, the wage gap between those who earn the most and those who earn the least is very wide as it is between 4,907 euros and 552, or 8.9 times more. Despite high inequality, it’s the lowest since 2015 when the gap was 11.6 points.
Industry remains the sector with the highest wage with an average of 1,724 euros per month, followed by services at 1,576 euros. Construction is in third place with 1,504 euros.
Adecco also conducted a study comparing the salaries of different countries of the European Union, and concluded that the Valencia Community included €1,598. 27.2% below the community average. The main salaries are in Luxembourg at 3,502 euros, followed by Denmark at 3,458; Germany with 3,003; Ireland with 2,920; and the Netherlands with 2,853.
