Ukraine accuses Russia of committing more than 27,000 war crimes

A total of 27,203 attacks and war crimes have been committed on Ukrainian soil since Russia began invading Ukraine on February 24, according to a report by Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office on Monday.

According to the document from the Attorney General’s Office, cited by local authorities, 26,190 crimes are related to violations of the laws and customs of war.

On the other hand, 73 incidents are related to the planning, preparation or initiation and development of aggression during the war, while the other 28 incidents are considered as war propaganda that does not comply with international conventions.

The prosecution also recorded 912 crimes of various types attributed to Russian troops, which have not yet been cataloged.
