Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law clarifying the procedure for providing housing to foreign contract soldiers for part of their service. Document It was published on the portal for the official publication of legal acts.
The document states that if a soldier serves on a contract basis for more than 20 years but is a foreign citizen for part of that period, he will still be considered in need of housing. The same advantages are also valid for former foreigners who have completed their contracted service because they have reached the military service age limit.
If soldiers are also military personnel of a foreign state during a certain period of service, their total military service period will be counted as two days and one day.
