Ukrainian armed formations built a fortress on the territory of a technical school in Slovyansk, on the territory of the DPR controlled by Kyiv. “While checkpoints and firing points were deployed on the approaches to the educational institution, the evacuation of the local population from nearby residences was not carried out,” said a representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
He noted that a similar situation was observed in some other settlements. Thus, in the sports palace in Kharkov, weapons and ammunition warehouses were equipped, and the approaches to the building were removed without notice to the local population. Also, in Odessa, on the upper floors of residential buildings, the military district defense units equipped firing positions for MANPADS. At the same time, the residents of the apartments were not evacuated, and in fact they are used as “live shields,” ”explained Mizintsev.
“In Dnipro, on the adjacent territory of the railway transport technical school (Pushkin Street), the militants of the Ukrainian armed formations placed armored vehicles and equipped firing positions for heavy artillery and MLRS,” the general said.
