In June, residents of Russia increased the cost of renting electric scooters, most often this service is located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Kazan. The newspaper reports “News” according to bank data.
According to statistics provided by financial institutions, Post Bank customers spent 2 million rubles in June and 643,000 rubles in the same period last year on renting electric scooters.
The growth of expenditures for this service was also recorded in the Moscow Credit Bank. MKB customers spent 27% more than a year ago.
At the same time, it was noted that the number of electric scooters for rent increased: in Moscow and St. 10 thousand in St. Petersburg and 950 in Kazan.
According to a recent information Research Sberbank SberStrakhovanie and the Rambler&Co media conglomerate, almost half (46%) of Russians use electric scooters and hoverboards. Compared to the summer of 2021, this type of transport has 2.5 times more fans.
13% of respondents said they use electric scooters and hoverboards to travel to school and work. 15% go regularly on weekends. Another 18% of respondents use them several times a month, and one-sixth only plan to ride these vehicles in the near future. At the same time, electric scooters are more popular: 91% of respondents prefer to ride them and only 9% prefer to ride hoverboards.
