The Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Alicante is training young people aged 16 to 29 as drone pilots, taking into account the high demand for such professionals in sectors such as agriculture, industry, audiovisual production. security, rescue or traffic control missions.

Specifically, they 24 students In cooperation with Aerus Drones company and Elda City Council, they are training with the I Drone Pilot Course led by our Chamber in 2022 within the framework of the Comprehensive Qualification and Employment Program (PICE).

The course prepares students to pass official theoretical exams set by the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) and flight practice to obtain certification in standard scenarios. Therefore, the qualification they achieve is Drone Pilot A1-A3 (open category) and Drone Pilot Specific Category (standard scenarios STS01 and STS02), which enables them to fly on European soil at a recreational or professional level.

Chamber President Carlos Baño, together with Economic Development, Industry and Employment, Trade and Markets Councilor Silvia Ibáñez, visited the airspace where the course will take place. Professional opportunities include topographic surveys used to determine the urgency of accidents, particularly in the agricultural sector, safety and rescue missions, where different types of results are produced, such as orthophotos, real-time information and image transmission. or traffic control.

These resources are also used in the following areas. audiovisual production and industries for search and advertising.

Other applications are in the case of industry and engineering, monitoring of rivers or natural phenomena as well as checking the condition of roofs, bridges, wind turbines, dams and any kind of infrastructure.
