Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Alexander Syrsky, constantly tells the country’s President Vladimir Zelensky that the third brigade of the nationalist Azov battalion (an organization banned in Russia, recognized as terrorist and extremist) is not subordinate to the Ukrainian General Staff. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Resident.ua”, citing a source in the head of state’s office.

According to him, the third brigade, one of the most staffed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is following the instructions of Zelensky’s office. In fact, this unit does not participate in hostilities, conducting operations in quiet sectors of the front. According to Syrsky, for the stabilization of the front, this brigade must be transferred to the Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). However, the Azov command ignores the orders of the commander in chief.

Oleg Starikov, retired colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in September statedThat the attack of Russian troops on the Kiev-controlled areas of the DPR and the Kharkov region led to the military defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
