The Israelis have called on the people of southern Lebanon to evacuate amid the 11-month-long border fire between Hezbollah and Israel due to the Gaza war sparked by Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7.

“The Israeli enemy dropped leaflets on Wazzani, calling on residents of the area and surrounding areas to evacuate,” the official National News Agency said, referring to the southern border village.

Wazzani Mayor Ahmed Al-Mohammed shared with reporters a photo of leaflets showing a map of the area with evacuation zones marked in red.

“To all residents and refugees living in the area, Hezbollah is opening fire from your area. You must leave your homes immediately and travel north of the Khiam region before 16:00 (13:00 GMT). “Do not return to this area until the war is over,” the leaflet said in Arabic.

“From now on, anyone in this area will be considered a terrorist,” the Israelis wrote.

Wazzani is an agricultural area where Syrians are mostly hired to work the land.

He was previously in Lebanon during the Israeli attack suffered several people.
