A 12-year-old boy died on Friday. allegedly drowned while taking a bath Las Alcaravaneras beach, Gran Canarian palms. The teenager was pulled out of the water by an 18-year-old boy and Red Cross rescuers, already in cardiorespiratory arrest. The incident occurred around seven o’clock in the evening. Minors of Spanish nationality and Saharawi descent, he was with a group of friends when he went into the water. According to witnesses who witnessed the events, it was claimed that the little boy did not know how to swim. A few minutes later, his friends were surprised that they couldn’t see him. It was another little one who noticed his body’s presence and sounded the alarm.

At that time, 18-year-old Saharawi Kamal threw herself into the sea with all her clothes on to save herself.At the same time, rescue teams went to the scene. The same sources exhumed the body of the little one, among whom already had cardiorespiratory arrest.

Rescue teams started the resuscitation work in the toilets of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), which came with three ambulances. Attempts to restore vital signs took almost an hour with resuscitation tasksboth basic and advanced, until his death was confirmed at 7:40 PM.

Agents from the National Police, Civil Guard, and Port Police also joined the service, the first of whom was responsible for instructing the relevant actions.

The victim is of Spanish nationality of Saharan descent. With the arrival of the relatives of the sad news, there were painful moments at the scene.
