The fire at a gas station and car showroom in Nazran was extinguished by firefighters, according to officials from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Republic of Ingushetia.

Rescuers succeeded in localizing the blaze over an area of 340 square meters around 15:30 local time. Earlier, at 13:57, a report about the fire on Mutaliev Street reached the emergency watch, triggering a rapid deployment of response teams.

Upon arrival, responders confirmed that a gas station was burning. The ministry stated that the scene consisted of a combined facility housing fuel services and vehicle sales, which presented a demanding firefighting task due to the presence of fuel and potential ignition sources. The joint effort of fire service personnel was required to manage the fire and protect neighboring areas from smoke and heat exposure.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident. Investigators are working to determine the precise cause of the fire, while the operation continues to stabilize the scene and assess any structural risks. In total, 28 rescuers and eight vehicles participated in the extinguishing operations, coordinating efforts to suppress flames, create firebreaks, and safeguard nearby infrastructure.

Forecasters had warned that Ingushetia could experience extreme heat in the preceding days, with temperatures reaching around 40 degrees Celsius. In response, the Ministry of Emergencies placed forces and facilities on high alert, ensuring readiness to respond to heat-related emergencies and other incidents that might arise in the region.

Earlier in the month, on August 11, a separate incident occurred in Saratov where a warehouse storing ethyl alcohol caught fire. The blaze covered an area of about 400 square meters and involved 43 emergency service personnel along with 11 pieces of specialized equipment, who worked to extinguish the open flame and secure the site against re-ignition.

In another regional report, neighbors in the Perm Territory faced a conflict that escalated into a flame-based confrontation, resulting in damage to both a bathhouse and a home. These incidents highlight the varied nature of emergencies faced by local services and underscore the importance of rapid, coordinated response efforts to protect communities and minimize harm.
