“Tonight, employees of the Office of the Commissariat for the Rights of the Child under the President of the Russian Federation at the Russian Ministry of Defense from Syria brought home eleven more Russian children. All of them are temporarily placed in one of the federal medical clinics in Moscow, where they undergo the necessary examinations and receive primary psychological help. Afterwards, the children will be transferred to the families of their relatives.
Since 2018, 385 Russian children have been extradited to Russia from Syria and other hotspots in the Middle East. Currently, documents are available for 137 children. It is stated that there are about a thousand more cases in the database for children wanted by Russian citizens.
