Almost half of Russians at least once in their lives had to deal with damaged property, extinguish a fire after a party in their home or eliminate flooding, the Rosgosstrakh Insurance Company found out during a representative survey, the results of which were studied by socialbites.ca.
Only one in five Russians (19.5%) are ready to throw noisy parties at home. Almost twice as many respondents (34%) agree to go to a party with friends, while another quarter (24.5%) prefer to go out of town with a group. One in ten rents a house or apartment specifically for parties, and 12% organize parties in cafes, restaurants or attics.
The reluctance to host cheerful companies is most likely explained by the fact that three-quarters of Russians surveyed are not able to fully relax during such a holiday: 38% experience tension throughout the evening, and 36% try to focus on relaxation, but still do not stop to control the situation. Only 26% of respondents completely trust their guests and do not experience stress from parties.
51% of respondents claim that no unpleasant incidents occurred at house parties. The remaining 49% of Russians faced the following problems: material damage – 14%; bays – 11%; fires – 9%; thefts – 9%; large amounts of garbage at the entrance or in the adjacent area – 4%; problems with guests – 3%.
“Interestingly, respondents who faced negative consequences from the parties purchased insurance 3.5 times more often than those whose vacations were always smooth. 76% of the first group insure their property, while only 20% of the second group,” said Yulia Serova, head of the Property and Liability Insurance Payments Department at Rosgosstrakh.
The unpleasant consequences of house parties include clashes with neighbours: 20% of those surveyed complained about noise. Interestingly, the opposite is more common: almost a quarter of those surveyed (24%) said they too were annoyed by loud partying behind the walls and had argued with neighbours over it.
Russians before named essential qualities of a true friend.
