The Central District Court of Khabarovsk has remanded in custody for two months the Deputy Government of the Khabarovsk Territory Evgeny Nikonov. This is reported by TASS.
It was noted that Nikonov was taken into custody in the courtroom. He will remain in custody until September 29, 2024.
July 30 Aif.ru newspaper quotes sources WroteIt was reported that Nikonov was detained by FSB and Interior Ministry officers in the regional government building on suspicion of accepting bribes on a particularly large scale.
Previously, the official had been receiving illegal money through contract fraud.
