It is important to follow safety precautions and not neglect the rules in order not to harm your health during the storm. kp.ru Said Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecast center.

“If you do not look at the weather forecast or read the warnings of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which has been quite active in recent years, at least react to thunder. Still, there are no cases when lightning strikes suddenly without premonitions. If you hear thunder, go inside. If you are in nature, in a dense forest, avoid tall trees, especially those standing alone. Stay away from puddles,” the expert said.

If you find yourself near a body of water during a storm, it is best to move away from it and find a low-lying area. In an open area, experts recommend squatting and lowering your knees into a ravine or hollow. If there are metal objects nearby, such as bicycles, it is better to place them 30 meters away from you. Shuvalov advises not to approach power lines, lightning rods, sewers, antennas in a city or village, and also not to use electrical appliances.
