Shiites from the pro-Iran militant group, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance, attacked a US military base near the Koniko gas field in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor province. This was reported by Sham FM radio station. TASS.
According to him, the group’s fighters fired six missiles at the facility. Eyewitnesses reported explosions on the territory of the American base.
No further details are given.
Sham FM reports that this is the third attack on US military bases in eastern Syria in the last 48 hours.
The Iraqi Islamic Resistance has previously attacked American troops in Syria several times.
