Republic of Korea officials counted more than 180 garbage balloons launched from North Korea on the night from Wednesday to Thursday. This was reported by Yonhap News Agency.

The publication notes that Pyongyang launched garbage balloons for three consecutive days. Approximately 350 balloons were sent on June 24 and 250 balloons were sent on June 25. In total, seven such actions have taken place since May 28.

The agency emphasizes that 70 of 180 balloons landed in Seoul and the northern regions of the capital Gyeonggi Province on the night of June 26-27. The publication says experts did not find any toxic substances in the garbage.

It was noted that Incheon International Airport delayed or canceled domestic and international flights for several hours due to the incident. In this respect, the airport did not serve Flights on June 26 from 1:46 to 4:44 local time (June 25 from 19:46 to 22:44 Moscow time). Flights started operating according to the usual schedule from 07:00 local time (1:00 Moscow time).
