“Galician black” is the latest fashion. The new Netflix series Clanes, starring Clara Lago and Tamar Novas, is just one of many productions that have chosen the northern part of Spain to create a powerful cinematic experience. “Income” is full of symbolism. It uses the natural beauty of the Galician landscape, with its steep cliffs and lush forests. Here, we review eight of those who know how to make the most of the darkest Galicia.
1. “The mess you left behind.”
Carlos MonteroHe helped create the TV show “Elite” and brought his 2016 Primavera Novel Award-winning book, set in his native Galicia, to the big screen. Inma Cuesta and Barbara Lennie are the stars of this “thriller.” It’s about secrets, hidden passions, and feeling sad. There’s also a mystery that needs to be solved. What happened to Viruca, a charismatic high school teacher full of light and shadow? This is on Netflix.
2. ‘Rapa’
A grumpy literature professor (Javier Camara) who acts like a detective teams up with a careful undercover security guard (Monica Lopez) to solve the mayor’s murder in Cedeira (A Coruña). This series is from Movistar Plus+, the creators of Hierro. There is a second season featuring the usually hard-to-reach Arsenal de Ferrol, and there will be a third.
3. “The taste of daisies.”
Galicia’s regional TVG series was a hit around the world when it first aired in 2011. You can watch both seasons on Netflix. The film is in Galician. It stars Civil Guard Lieutenant Rosa Vargas (Maria Mera). She travels to the town of Muriás to solve the disappearance of a young woman. Many believe she has run away.
4. “Dry water”
It is a joint production of Galicia and Portugal. It is distributed in both countries. A woman decides to leave Lisbon and move to Vigo, where her brother was found dead. Everything suggests that it was a suicide, but the investigator in charge of the case and the victim’s family are not completely sure. Inside HBO Maximum.
4. “Neboa”
TV series starring Emma Suárez. Based on Galician mythology and legends. The game takes place on an island called Neboa. There, a dead teenager appears right after he dies.
Entry (carnival). Many people believe that the case is related to Urco, a man with a wolf’s head. You can find it on RTVE Play.
5. The name of the operation is “Operation Black Wave.”

It recreates the true story of the first narco-submarine (a submarine used to transport drugs) captured in Europe off the coast of Galicia. The mini-series is about the difficult journey of three crew members of a semi-submarine arriving from Brazil. A young Galician (Alex González) is coming up next. 6. ‘Fariña’
Based on the journalist’s book of the same name, Nacho Carretero is a film that tells a true story. It takes place in Galicia in the 1980s and shows how drug trafficking grew in the region over time. Minanco Site

7. “Live without permission.”
The Galician coast is a big part of this Mediaset series. Aitor Gabilondo (“Prince,” “Homeland”). When the most powerful canned food businessman (José Coronado) learns that he has Alzheimer’s disease, his successors, including his children and his protégé (Alex González), fight to take over his company.
