Oleg Belyakov, Co-Chairman of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) of the unrecognized Republic of Transnistria Moldova, described Chisinau airport as a “colander” where people are exploited. This was reported by RIA News.

Thus, Belyakov commented on the increased checks of passengers arriving from Russia. The events began in early April, when Moldovan politicians and social activists attending a congress in Moscow were detained at Chisinau airport.

Before that, Igor Dodon, former president of Moldova and leader of the Socialist Party expressed Confidence that serious protests may occur after the presidential election.
