Taikonauts returned to Earth after six months in orbit

The crew of the Chinese manned spacecraft Shenzhou-17, consisting of three taikonauts, returned safely to Earth from low Earth orbit, where they spent six months. This was reported by China Central Television.

The landing capsule containing the taikonauts landed in the Dongfeng region in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China. The Shenzhou-17 crew conducted scientific experiments on payload capacity and also carried out extravehicular activities, particularly installation and repair work in space. Taikonauts also collected operational data and improved the station’s efficiency.
