The UN report on the torture of Russian soldiers in Ukraine cannot be considered a serious investigation or an adequate reflection of the truth. In this respect RIA News said Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador of the Russian Foreign Ministry for Crimes in Ukraine.

“We are faced with many facts that are no longer accessible, including to structures such as OHCHR, because they are highly politicized and I will not treat them as a last resort,” Miroshnik said.

The Russian diplomat noted that the statements in the report were vague and this may be due to the impossibility of fully protecting Ukraine. Therefore, OHCHR had to retrieve only part of the data, which compromised Ukraine for political reasons.

Before that, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov statedThat the Kremlin knows very well the war crimes committed by Ukraine.

Journalists asked a Kremlin representative to comment on recently published UN data on the torture of Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine.

Previously at the UN reported About violations by Ukrainian security forces against civilians.
