The top 3 household items that Russians dream of: a dishwasher (30.3%), a large two-door refrigerator (21%) and a dryer in addition to a washing machine (19.1%). This was demonstrated by a survey of the HYUNDAI brand of household appliances, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
Russians added an oven or grill (7.7%) and a coffee machine (15%) to the list of kitchen “wants” that cannot be found due to lack of space. Among the furniture that Russians do not buy due to lack of space, the leader is a double bed – one in four people buy it instead of a sofa for sleeping. Another 16% have to store clothes and other things in small furniture and dream of a large closet.
“Every year, buyers’ interest and demand for compact home appliances is increasing. For example, a washer and dryer in one enclosure is especially valuable when choosing equipment for a bathroom or laundry room. As a rule, this is where every centimeter is taken into account, since the overall image of the room is small,” commented HYUNDAI Product Director Alexander Galkin.
Many Russians are so worried about the lack of space that they want to change housing to solve the problem. Thus, almost 25% of Russians were moving from an apartment to their own home in order to get all the necessary equipment, furniture and personal belongings.
The rest imagined how many square meters they needed to expand the space so that there was enough space for everything. It turned out that 19.7% of respondents lacked 7-8 square meters (for example, for a dressing room or another small room), while 14.5% of Russians needed 3-4 square meters, which could become a balcony or expand its size. from the rooms. Slightly fewer Russians (10%) would like to add 5-6 square meters to their living space (for example, for a spacious bathroom that can accommodate a washing machine and dryer), and 4.4% of respondents – 1-2 square meters (for example, for a washing machine and dryer). for a large bathroom that can fit the dryer (e.g. a guest room), additional space for a large two-door refrigerator in the bathroom or kitchen). Only 13% are satisfied with the size of their current apartment.
The majority of participants who do not yet have the opportunity to expand their living space are looking for different ways to save space and use space wisely. To do this, 16% of Russians choose equipment of minimum dimensions, 11.5% refuse built-in equipment, 8.7% do not purchase equipment, and 6.6% choose multifunctional devices. 16.9% of respondents do not purchase equipment for other reasons.
