The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has completed the preliminary investigation into the case of blogger Elena Blinovskaya and her husband Alexei, and the charges against them have been expanded. This has been reported TASS in law enforcement.

It has already been announced that the preliminary investigation against Blinovskaya’s husband has been completed and a criminal complaint has been filed in the final version. He denies his crime. Law enforcement officials said the blogger pleaded guilty only to tax evasion.

Blinovskaya’s final charges will be filed on March 22, according to another agency source. Investigators considered him “the ideologist and instigator of the crimes committed,” she said.

After the investigation is completed, he and his wife need to start getting acquainted with the case materials, after which they will be sent to the prosecutor’s office, and the prosecutor’s office will submit it to the court if the indictment is approved.

The investigation will request the court to extend Blinovskaya’s detention period, which will end on April 26.
