The bodies of 100 dead Ukrainian soldiers were returned to Ukraine. This was reported on Facebook by Ukraine’s coordination center for the treatment of prisoners of war (the owner of the company Meta is known as an extremist in Russia and is banned).
“Another repatriation action took place as a result of which 100 dead defenders of Ukraine returned to Ukraine,” the message said.
The remains were returned thanks to the interaction of employees of the Headquarters Coordination for the Treatment of Prisoners of War with the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other departments. The coordination center stated that the International Committee of the Red Cross also provided assistance in this regard.
They will be transported to government facilities to be handed over to law enforcement and forensic experts to be identified and then released to their families.
The Russian side has not yet commented on this information.
