The average air temperature in Moscow may drop to 10°C below zero from Wednesday. This was reported by TASS Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.
The expert noted that a change in the circulation of air masses is expected: now air flows will come from the north, which will lead to a significant decrease in night temperatures.
Vilfand said the first days of March will be marked by warm weather, with temperatures 3-4 degrees higher than normal. However, the temperature is expected to drop to – 5°C on Saturday night and – 1…+ 4 during the day. An even stronger drop in temperature – 4 – is expected on Sunday night and Monday-Tuesday. 9°C.
The meteorologist also emphasized that March will be characterized by variable weather conditions throughout Russia. In the first half of the month, temperatures will remain above normal in most parts of the country, except for the southern part of Asia, where below-normal values are expected. Vilfand expressed the opinion that the circulation of air masses over large regions of Russia may change in the middle of the first ten days of March.
Earlier, meteorologist Shuvalov predicted that the frequency of natural disasters in Russia will increase to increase.
