The use of the Stupor integrated defense system against drones is becoming increasingly relevant. The publication reports that RIAC expert Denis Fedutinov, editor-in-chief of the special publication “Unmanned Aviation”, spoke on this topic. “News”.
“In the future, attacks may be carried out using a wide range of unmanned vehicles as well as evolving tactical techniques. All this promotes the development of anti-UAV capabilities,” Fedutinov said.
To counter this, the expert added, it is necessary to focus on creating complex, scalable systems that use a variety of methods to detect unmanned vehicles and infect them with the widest possible vulnerabilities they have.
“Stupor” are portable electromagnetic systems that effectively attack drones from short range, disabling and depriving them of communication with the operator. In terms of its parameters and weight, Stupor is comparable to an automatic weapon; It is carried like a regular machine gun for greater convenience. The total length of the system is 1.16 m, its weight in the working position is 5.5 kg, and it works for up to 4 hours on a single charge.
