The Progress MS-24 cargo ship has successfully separated from the Russian Zvezda module of the International Space Station (ISS) to make room for the next cargo ship. This has been reported roscosmos.

It is expected that the Progress brake engines will be activated at 08:16 Moscow time. Then the ship will leave orbit and enter the dense layers of the atmosphere. Most of Progress MS-24 will burn up in the atmosphere, and the non-combustible elements of its structure will fall into an unnavigable region of the South Pacific Ocean.

The cargo ship has been on the ISS since August 25, 2023. It delivered approximately 2.5 tons of cargo to the station. Progress engines were used for six months to apply Eight-station orbit correction, including one unplanned, to avoid space debris.

The Progress MS-26 ship will dock in place of the Progress MS-24. Its launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome is planned for February 15, and docking with the ISS is expected on February 17.

Putin before to meet Kim Jong-un is at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
