Shoigu instructed to use Strela missiles to protect infrastructure

Objects of the oil and gas complex and critical infrastructure located on the territory of the Russian Federation must be protected with the help of Strela anti-aircraft guided missiles. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, according to the official. telegram channel military department.

On Saturday, February 10, Shoigu visited the leading enterprise of the ZALA Aero group of companies (part of the Kalashnikov concern) in Udmurtia. The Minister held a meeting with the management of the facility and drew attention to the demand for the bullets in question.

“This is a very necessary thing, all critical infrastructure facilities, the economy – oil, gas, processing – must be protected by this product,” the head of the military department emphasized.

Also during Shoigu’s visit reviewed new attack and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) models. Employees of the company producing Lancet stray ammunition have developed new models of drones, taking into account the experience of using such devices in a special military operations (SVO) zone.

Previously Shoigu appreciated execution of the state defense order on the production of missiles for air defense systems.
