The researchers also recorded the participants’ blood pressure, cholesterol levels and body fat percentage. These data were used by scientists to estimate the biological age of the subjects.

It turns out that regular tea consumption is associated with a decrease in the body’s biological aging rate. It is stated that polyphenols, which are special plant compounds, give tea an anti-aging effect.
