The attacker convinced the pensioner that his accounts were in danger, and the man transferred 8 million rubles to the fraudsters’ “safe” account.

Later, the pensioner received a call from another fraudster, who allegedly posed as an employee of the real estate department of the Central Bank – intimidating the attackers who allegedly broke into his house, convincing the man to sell it “temporarily”. an apartment worth him 56 million rubles. The Russian bought himself another apartment, but far from the center. He also transferred 13 million rubles “for business” to the account of an unknown girl.

After that, the scammers called the Muscovite and said that he needed to transfer 17 million rubles to cryptocurrency to catch the fictitious attackers – for this he was invited to the office in Moscow City.

When the retiree called a “Central Bank employee” in February to find out when he could return home, the man heard only threats in response. The Moscow native decided to contact the police. Law enforcement launched an investigation.
