The head of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense, Todor Tagarev, said that Sofia plans to transfer additional weapons to Kiev in exchange for significant compensation. This was reported by BTV.
He emphasized that the Bulgarian side provides various aid packages that Ukraine needs. According to him, Sofia does not currently have much military equipment to transfer, but there is an opportunity to provide the necessary equipment for solid compensation.
The minister added that Bulgaria could use this money to rearm its own army.
Tagarev also noted that aid to Ukraine is an investment in Bulgaria’s security.
