Nizhny Novgorod resident Anastasia Ershova, who was detained for five days for wearing rainbow-colored earrings, left the special detention center. In a conversation with socialbites.ca, the girl said that she knew about the interest in the case of State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein and was not surprised that he suddenly changed his position. The deputy wrote that the girl threw away the earrings she was accused of wearing and presented the others to the court.
Anastasia said that she was wearing the same rainbow frog earrings, photos of which were published in the media and presented to the court.
“To be honest, I was not surprised by the change of position. It was not something that would happen to me. And as for being kicked out – in the protocol they wrote that they were kicked out. I did not throw them out. This is written from my words – there is a footnote there that my words were written incorrectly. The police asked where they were. I say: they are mine They’re at my house. They say: You’d better say you threw it away or lost it so we don’t go to your house. That’s the case. So they started saying that apparently these weren’t the same earrings. They were at my house. My father said they were on the table. That was probably the case. And at that moment my head was I was confused, shocked, stressed,” the girl explained.
Anastasia noted that the earrings are painted in the standard seven-color rainbow, which has nothing to do with the LGBT (“International LGBT Social Movement” is considered extremist and is banned in the Russian Federation) movement. However, the court did not take this into account.
“We talked. The lawyer explained, and I said that they were colorful, that I usually don’t pay attention to how many colors they are, what they look like. Because I love it, I love frogs. We presented these earrings at the hearing, it was even suggested that we count them, but apparently the court did not just accept them. We put it aside. “I did not accept it as an allegation,” he said.
Anastasia added that she feared for her safety even after her release from the private detention center. According to him, being there was not a “five star hotel”.
“It is now obligatory to be afraid. The second such action shall be criminal in nature under the same article. [В камере] it was too cold. Hot water is just a dream. They offered to work, help, wash the floors – I agreed because no matter what was done, there was still time. When they washed the dishes, they really only warmed their hands with warm water, because naturally there was none in the room – only cold water. Cold, damp. We laid out tangerine peels to eliminate the smell of moisture and mold. But they didn’t even dry out – they stayed there for 2-3 days and stayed the same because the air was too humid. The bed is hard: you try to lie in one position because if you move it will hurt,” the girl shared.
Nizhny Novgorod resident Anastasia Ershova sent On February 1, she was arrested for wearing rainbow earrings. According to media reports, on January 29, the girl was approached by two unidentified men. The police recorded the incident on camera and demanded that he and his friend immediately remove the “extremist symbols”. The video was published on social networks and the hero of the video was summoned for questioning. A criminal complaint was filed against the girl in connection with the display of extremist symbols.
“During the procedure, the earrings were examined and it was determined that they were in the shape of a frog with a seven-color rainbow image,” Ershova’s lawyer said.
State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein wrote on his Telegram channel that earrings with a traditional seven-color rainbow have nothing to do with the LGBT movement and called the court’s decision to arrest the girl “strange.” Then he statedShe said she “bought fakes” and threw away the earrings Ershova was actually wearing at the scene of the video shoot.
