A retiree in China left a multimillion-dollar inheritance to his pet dogs and cats, writes South China Morning Post.
The retiree reportedly initially bequeathed $2.8 million to his children, but recently changed his mind due to his family not taking care of him. Now, according to the new will, all the Chinese woman’s money will be used for the care of her pets and offspring.
Since the law in China prohibits leaving property directly to animals, the woman appointed a veterinary clinic as the manager of her fortune.
“We recommend that she appoint someone she trusts to oversee her veterinary practice and ensure pets are appropriately cared for,” the Wills Center said.
Previously, a British woman inherited a fortune of $231 thousand from a man. who I didn’t know.
