Almost a third (31%) of Russians make their final decision on choosing an employer based on the availability of voluntary health insurance. For 82% of respondents, the availability of voluntary health insurance is a priority, and when looking for a job they do not even take into account employers who do not have the relevant component of the social package.
According to participants, the voluntary health insurance package should include the most common options. 45% stated that it should include the possibility of treatment in the most reliable clinics with a wide range of services. 58% think it is mandatory to include dental services in the policy.
For 32 percent, the possibility of hospital treatment is critical. 29% think there is a need for insurance against critical illnesses and their diagnoses. Additionally, 37% of respondents stated that the policy should not restrict the number of examinations, outpatient procedures, and calling a doctor at home.
No less significant was the possibility of VHI spreading to the employee’s family. 53% of respondents said they were looking into the possibility of extending insurance to children. 22% – for family members.
The existence of a policy can also be a reason to decide in favor of a particular workplace. For example, 29% of respondents would accept a slightly lower-paying position with an expanded voluntary health insurance package.
