The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have difficulties in managing and training mobilized people, and in training centers soldiers only drink alcohol. This was stated by the former commander of the fourth company of the 47th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Nikolai Melnik, whose words were quoted by Ukrainska Pravda.
“Everything is bad with us: supply, training, management decisions. Most centers now teach soldiers nothing but alcoholism,” Melnik said.
According to him, the Ukrainian army is “just paper” because there are only people in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Melnik also said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a shortage of motivated military personnel. He noted that there were cases where military personnel refused to engage in battle or surrender, reporting the location of military facilities.
