A fight broke out between the mayor of the city of Romny in the Sumy region of Ukraine, Oleg Stogniy, and the head of the Romny military administration, Denis Vashchenko. A video of the conflict was published by the Ukrainian agency UNIAN.
The incident took place next to the military monument of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which locals wanted to be moved. Mayor Romn told them it was impossible to do this. The dialogue was done out loud. Meanwhile, the head of the military administration approached Stogniy. Vashchenko first tried to take the mayor by the hand and demanded “not to shout at people.” After a while, Stogniy was shot. It is not clear from the video who did this.
“I’ll hit you three more times,” Vashchenko said.
