A 5.9 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Alaska. This was reported by the US Geological Survey (USGS).
According to the service, the epicenter of the seismic event was 228 km southwest of the city of Juneau. The population of the city is approximately 32.7 thousand people. The epidemic lay at a depth of 20 km.
