Irina Volynets, Tatarstan Children’s Ombudsman and founder of the National Parents’ Committee, says that the distribution of content containing dangerous “games” with children should be limited in Russia. She called for special labeling of such materials. Volynets noted that bloggers use Internet platforms on social networks to distribute photo and video content containing dangerous “games” with children. As examples of such material, he cited the scandal of a millionaire blogger who threw his two-month-old son into a snowdrift and a video of children riding on pipes attached to the car.

Volynets does not consider the consequences for people who publish such videos, especially since other parents may repeat such dangerous “games”. He suggested that such content be labeled with a warning that the video contains potentially dangerous actions that could pose a threat to children.

The Children’s Ombudsman called on MPs to support his initiative by drafting a relevant bill.
