More changes have been made at the Galician EiDF company, which was suspended from the stock exchange for four months last year for fraudulent accounting. The company terminated CEO Joaquín Galí’s contract just three months after he signed itAs reported by the company to the market operator BME Growth, where it was listed this Tuesday. The move follows the group’s announcement last December that it would replace Galí with Joan Gelonch as CEO this month. At the time, company sources assured that Galí would remain as chief executive. The company’s shares fell in Wednesday’s session, falling as much as 11.29%.
Galí’s inclusion in the renewable group was approved at the beginning of October. At the end of August, EiDF’s board of directors approved the appointment of a new CEO to confront the challenges that the massive growth and energy transition targets occurring in the 2022 financial year represent for the entire photovoltaics sector.

Acquisition of a project in La Rioja
On the other hand, EiDF also reported that a purchase and sale agreement was signed for the purchase of all shares of Sociedad de Explotación Fotovoltaica.. The acquired company owns a 19.5 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic project in La Rioja. Previously, EiDF and the vendor signed a contract for the development of photovoltaic projects, and following the formalization of this contract, various additional contracts were signed in 2022 and 2023.
