The design consists of: three pieces of clothing intended to represent a vital moment Christina, just a few months after becoming a first-time mother. It is a cape, dress and shoes made from 100% recycled wool and biodegradable and organic materials.
To do this, hydroponic cultivation was carried out, in which different plants of the cape took root, thus resulting in a red amaranth mat, to which nasturtium plants were added, which on this occasion covers the lumbar area.
As for the dress, we chose to do it one way or another. organic and biodegradable fabric made from gelatin, agar, glycerin and water. A temporary heat-treated material that, when molded, creates a sheer green-toned dress. Finally, for the shoes, Cristina opted for a silhouette with a pine sole decorated with fastening straps made of cotton fibers and the same biomaterial as the dress.
Pedroche’s goal this year is to make visible the importance of taking action to change water management policies, an increasingly scarce and indispensable element.
