Omega-3 is a complex of natural fatty acids that are not synthesized in the human body but are necessary for a full life. These include alpha-linolenic, eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids (ALA, EPA and DHA). Omega-3 fatty acids play a role in energy production, repair cell membranes, suppress inflammatory reactions and strengthen the immune system. In addition, they are associated with improved cognitive function and may help maintain brain health, potentially reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.

The new study involved 70 teenagers with depression who were divided into two groups. The first took antidepressants for 12 weeks, while the second took antidepressants and 3 capsules of omega-3 complex (2700 mg) per day. The results showed that he was in the second group.

The results showed that recovery was much greater in the second group, and participants in this group were also more likely to enter recovery and improve cognitive function.
