Changes for the unemployed
The changes recently approved by the Council of Ministers aim to provide more assistance to the unemployed. Thus, among others, people who have paid premiums for less than six months and have exhausted unemployment benefits will benefit.
Moreover, one of the most important innovations is amount increases to 95% of IPREM first six months (570 euros), 90% in the next six months (540 Euros) and the rest is 80% (480 Euros) as until now. In this sense, it should be taken into account that the reform will only apply to new recognitions.not the subsidies currently in place.
When will the new subsidy come into effect?
As SEPE explains on its social networks, Unemployment benefits reform will come into force on June 1, 2024. Likewise, the organization explains that the rights granted before this date are protected by previous regulations until they disappear.
