Sergei Abdulov, chief designer of Kurganmashzavod of High Precision Complexes of Rostec State Corporation, said that more than 30 thousand BMP-2 vehicles have been produced since 1980. This was reported by TASS.

“More than 30 thousand products were produced all over the world. At one time, up to 200 units were produced per month,” Abdulov said.

According to him, BMP-2s are not produced today, but old vehicles are being repaired. It is stated that BMP-2s are produced under license in India.
