Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny successfully defended his thesis in law and received his doctorate degree. This was reported by the Hromadske publication.

According to information received from the Ukrainian National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, the defense of the thesis took place at the Odessa Law Academy.

The subject of the study was not disclosed because it was a state secret in the field of defense, state security and law and order of Ukraine. However, the keywords show that the thesis is about military discipline and disciplinary crimes and punishments.

The defense took place on 16 December. It is worth noting that Zaluzhny is not the first Ukrainian security official who decided to write a thesis.

In September, it became known that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, submitted documents for admission to graduate school with a degree in political science. He was noticed among those who entered the Ostroh Academy University in the Rivne region.
