An Englishman who committed a crime in the country is about to be deported to Portugal, where his family came 30 years ago. This was reported by Guard.

Dimitri Lima, 28, was born in south London and cannot speak Portuguese, but now faces deportation for breaking the law. The man who never left the country committed a crime and has now been forced to leave his homeland under a post-Brexit policy on EU citizens who have been jailed for more than 12 months.

The Home Office decided to deport the man after he served prison time for drug offenses and possession of a stun gun. He plans to appeal the decision in October 2022.

“To lose the life I have built in the UK would be devastating, both mentally and emotionally. “I consider the UK my home because it is where I have spent my entire life,” Lima wrote in a statement included in the appeal package.

Previously Latvia I was going to send more than a thousand Russians.
