Russian airline Aeroflot’s first regular passenger flight since 2020 arrived from Moscow to Hong Kong. This was reported by TASS referring to data from the electronic display of the former British colony’s international airport.

The message said, “The plane departing from Sheremetyevo landed at 10:00 local time (05:00 Moscow time).”

Regular flights to Hong Kong were disrupted in 2020 due to restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic. Now the wide-body Airbus A330 will operate three flights a week from Moscow.

According to the Tourism Development Corporation, the number of Russian tourists visiting Hong Kong in the first 10 months of 2023 increased 37 times, reaching 40.8 thousand people. In total, about 26.8 million travelers from different countries visited the former British colony.
