Igor Hubarenko, Commander of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the Separate Presidential Brigade (AFU) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, complained that many conscientious objectors at the front avoid punishment due to the peculiarities of republican legislation. Ukrayinska Pravda reports this.

According to him, the Criminal Code of Ukraine does not work with objectors, and it takes from two weeks to a month to bring a soldier to justice for non-compliance with the order. But even after that, a soldier can find loopholes in the law.

Hubarenko emphasized that there are many criminal cases opened, some of which have been ongoing since 2022.

Before that, captured Ukrainian officer Bohdan Kumansky said that in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) there were many cases of “rejectors” and unauthorized abandonment of a unit.

According to Kumansky, the Ukrainian army does not have enough personnel. Therefore, in order to plug the holes at the front, the command assigns all soldiers to the front line, regardless of their level of training.

Previously Zelensky saidIt prevents Ukraine from transferring hostilities to the territory of the Russian Federation.
