First of all, this concerns the indexation of pensions: self-employed people are considered unemployed, therefore their pensions are indexed in accordance with the law and in the same amount. But this is assumed only if the self-employed person does not pay social insurance contributions and does not accumulate work experience.
If a self-employed person makes contributions to insurance funds and has work experience, his status is equal to that of an employee. In this case, “the right to regional additional payments and indexation of pensions disappears,” Vinogradov said.
In addition, the lawyer stated that if this level is exceeded, some income-related aid may be canceled.
