On December 15, Esperantists around the world celebrate Zamenhof Day, the anniversary of the birth of Ludwig Zamenhof, the creator of the Esperanto language. The holiday began to be celebrated in the 20s of the last century.

Esperanto is an artificial language that can be spoken by people from different nations.
