Stanislav Grinchenko, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, surrendered to Russian captivity using the special frequency 149,200 “Volga” on the advice of his brother, who served in the Russian army. This was reported by TASS with a link to a video interview with the fighter.

According to Grinchenko, his brother consulted the command and learned that a special radio frequency was available for surrender. Using radio, the Ukrainian reached the 149,200 “Volga” frequency and managed to find Russian positions on the map.

According to information received from the Russian Ministry of Defense, all of Grinchenko’s relatives are Russian citizens, and his brother is serving in the Russian Armed Forces and participating in a special military operation.

The man said that he wanted to surrender to Russian captivity immediately after mobilization. On August 22, he received a summons in the city of Kramatorsk and received training at a training center in the Dnepropetrovsk region, after which he was sent to the Zaporozhye region. On November 22, he and his companions were taken to their positions and captured two days later.

The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported that Stanislav Grinchenko would reject the exchange and did not plan to return to Ukraine. The man plans to come to Russia, obtain citizenship of this country and serve with his brother in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.

Previously three fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine swam past Dnieper and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces.
