Guyana Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo says he is exploring expanding military cooperation with the United States amid the regional conflict with Venezuela over the Essequibo region. He expressed this in an interview with the newspaper. Finance Times.

“We believe that we have the ability to contain Venezuela and prevent any aggressive intentions against our country,” Jagdeo said.
